Our Wonderful Orthodontist, Dr. Mack!
Education
Dr. Kervin Mack is our board-certified orthodontist with a fervor for helping patients find their best smile! Attending Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University for his Doctor of Pharmacy, he later earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine at Harvard School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Mack completed his orthodontic specialty training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, earning his Master of Science in Orthodontics. Dr. Mack then bought his current Burlington practice!
Dr. Mack’s Dedication to His Patients
He is committed to staying up-to-date on the latest advances in orthodontic technology to bring in techniques and equipment that can best serve his community. A life-long learner, Dr. Mack is particularly interested in laser therapy, aesthetics, and temporary anchorage device placement.
What he treasures most about being an orthodontist is the amazing relationships he is able to form with his patients. From all walks of life and professions, he loves the ability to interact with so many different kinds of people and be able to support their journey to a straight smile. As Dr. Mack puts it, “I am not in the business of taking care of teeth. I am in the business of taking care of people. I just happen to work on teeth.”
The Importance of Board Certification
Dr. Mack is recognized by the American Board of Orthodontics as an orthodontist who has gone above and beyond his minimum training to display his commitment to the field and his patients and provide the highest quality of care. This mark of excellence is an honor they grant only select orthodontists. While this is a voluntary achievement, many patients search for doctors with this distinction for added confidence they are working with a true expert!
How It Is Accomplished
In addition to completing the fundamentals of becoming a licensed orthodontist (dental school and orthodontic residency), Dr. Mack had to pass a meticulous clinical and written exam, which tested his knowledge in effective treatment planning, accurate diagnosis, and exceptional patient care.
The amount of preparation for these exams takes hundreds of hours and puts professional judgment to the test. Passing is an achievement proving true dedication to the profession of orthodontics. To ensure this care, it must be renewed every 10 years.
After receiving board certification, orthodontists must also attend meetings in the field and other means of ongoing professional education to stay up-to-date with the latest advances.

Assistants
Nimbe, Savannah, Tiffany, Morgan, and Michelle serve as our assistants and are the organized multi-taskers of the office. Taking care of everything from preparing you for your appointment when you walk in, gathering all the necessary dental equipment Dr. Mack may need and providing chairside assistance while he works on your teeth.
Some tasks are a two-person job, and Dr. Mack depends on their efforts to make your appointments as seamless as possible.
Treatment Coordinator
Elizabeth is our talented treatment coordinator, working directly with you every step of the way during your treatment. One of the first people you get to interact with when you begin care, she is able to walk you through what will happen during your appointments, what you can expect, and address any concerns you may have. She loves meeting new people and is eager to help you get started on your new smile!
Scheduling Coordinator
Erica, Tiffany, and Elizabeth work as our organized scheduling coordinators, where they manage booking patient appointments in our calendar. By working with you to find the best time to return to our practice for ongoing treatment, they help us take care of you and are able to accommodate your busy life.
Financial Coordinator
Jerri is our expert financial coordinator who helps our patients work with insurance and figure out the best payment plan according to their budget. She strives to find the perfect treatment and financial plan for you and is able to offer you many ways in which we can make that possible for you!
