All About Retainers
A retainer is a custom-made appliance designed to hold your teeth in their new positions after orthodontic treatment is complete. Without a retainer, your teeth will gradually shift back—especially in the first few months after treatment.

We typically provide clear removable retainers (often called Essix retainers) that are thin, discreet, and easy to wear. These retainers are custom-molded to fit your smile and are designed for comfort and durability.

  • We’ll fit your retainers and check that they feel secure and comfortable
  • You’ll receive two full set—one for daily wear and a backup for peace of mind
  • We’ll explain when and how to wear your retainers, and how to clean and store them
